KYC means “Know Your Customer”.
It is a process by which banks obtain information about the identity and address of the customers.
This process helps to ensure that banks' services are not misused. The KYC procedure is to be completed by the banks while opening accounts and also periodically update the same.
The KYC requirements for the card issuer are described below:
We need a government issued photo ID and a Proof of Address, including the back part of the ID and a complete photo of the proof of address.
Full document for Proof of Address must be different from ID.
List of POA accepted:
- Electric bill
- Phone bill
- Property tax receipt
- Water bill
- Bank statement
- Lease agreement registered with the competent tax authority
Image of only a section of document is not acceptable. You must show the full ID in the photo. You must also include a the full page of your proof of address -- for example, if using a utility bill, please submit the entire page of the bill ... not just the bottom section.
As a general rule, your uploaded documents should have at least three months of validity.
